Adjustments of Dentures/Prosthesis

Are your dentures uncomfortable, digging, slicing or a bit loose? They might need a simple adjustment.

These adjustments might involve trimming away high spots or loosening/tightening the metal hooks to restore comfort, giving more time before considering a brand new set.

Denture Repairs and Additions

Fix of broken dentures; chipped tooth, cracked and snapped dentures or clasps (hooks) breaking off). Additions are done when another tooth needs to be added onto a partial denture.

Note: We hold the dentures for 2 hours for on-the-day repairs.

Relines of Partial and Complete Dentures

When dentures in fair condition become loose it may be time for a reline. This is a cost effective way to maintain good fitting dentures as opposed to getting a new set.

New Complete and Partial Acrylic Dentures

Complete dentures are replacements for complete loss of real teeth made from bio-compatible strengthened plastic.

Partial dentures are restorations for those with remaining real teeth. These are accompanied by hooks (clasps) to stay in the mouth and also made from bio-compatible strengthened plastic.

New Complete Dentures Copied from Existing Set

If the existing sets give you the right appearance and keep you happy we can make a copy of that denture keeping the same smile you love.

Metal-Framework (Chrome-Cobalt) Partial Dentures

Metal reinforced dentures focus on durability and are less likely to break compared to standard partial dentures.

Metal-Reinforced Complete Dentures

Complete dentures can have a metal reinforcing component to increase durability. These are less likely to crack or snap compared to traditional plastic complete dentures.

Valplast/Flexi-Dentures

A newer option of partial dentures which are made from specialised material allowing for lighter and flexible dentures without the need for metal clasps (hooks). This is a great budget option to replace one missing tooth especially in the front.

Implant Overdentures

Traditional partial and complete plastic dentures can be made to fit straight over the existing implants. This increases stability and allows for greatly improved fitting.

Immediate Partial and Complete Dentures

Made as plastic or with the option of metal reinforcement - immediate dentures are designed to be fitted in the same visit where a person has teeth extracted. This allows for reduced or removes the time where someone might go without teeth.

Traditional Stages & Visits to get dentures

Initial Consult/First Impressions

Initial Consult/First Impressions

Initial Consult/First Impressions

The initial consult is where the magic of our work begins. This first visit is where we answer your questions about the dentures. Our experienced clinician will talk you through the steps and come up with a treatment plan best suited for you.

After treatment plan has been agreed upon a first impression also known as a primary impression is then taken.

Bites & Final Impressions

Initial Consult/First Impressions

Initial Consult/First Impressions

After the primary impressions have been taken, special trays are made specifically designed to fit your mouth. The special trays are then used to take a final impression for better accuracy.

In the same visit we also record the bite using a wax bite block to see where your jaws naturally rest against each other. This allows us to set teeth in the following stage.

Teeth/Framework Try In

Initial Consult/First Impressions

Teeth/Framework Try In

Fast forward 1 to 2 weeks and we do a test fit of the teeth in wax. This allows us to check the aesthetics and functionality of the teeth.

Major changes can only be done during this stage so it is important to communicate any issues with how they look or feel when biting together.

Denture Insert

Initial Consult/First Impressions

Teeth/Framework Try In

When the patient and clinician are happy with the results of the previous stage then the dentures can be taken through to a finish. This means that the dentures are processed - this turns the wax into a final hardened plastic/acrylic form.

The dentures are then inserted into the patient's mouth. At our clinic any follow up appointments within 6 months of insert are free of charge.
